Scottish Highland Cattle

Our small fold of Scottish Highland cattle are registered under the American Highland Cattle Association. We are one of only a few breeders of AHCA registered purebred highland cattle in the State of WV. We are currently in the process of growing our fold, so in the coming years we will be retaining most of our heifer calves but will likely have some excellent registered bulls and steers available at 6 months old. If you in the market for a calf, please contact us to see what’s available.

Shoulderbone Juliet

At three years old, this girl runs the show here on the farm.

With old school Scottish genetics like ‘Scott of Craycombe’ and ‘Ben Eniglair of Scone Palace’ in her lineage, she is the picturesque Highland cow.

She’s currently bred to a white bull ‘Shoulderbone Hyeon’ and is due this Summer.

Laz E Hill Kierra

Not only does Kierra have a super laid-back personality, she is packed with the best genetics in the world.  She has four U.S. National champion bulls in her lineage, including her sire, two-time National Champion, ‘Finley Falls Duncan’.  Throw in some British, Scottish, and Canadian champions while you’re at it…

Kierra is currently being artificially inseminated with semen from ‘STR Armageddon’.  Armageddon was the 2020 Reserve U.S. National Champion and has amazing lineage as well, to include his sire, ‘Rioghail of Balmoral’.  The Balmoral line belonged to the Queen Elizabeth II and brings a very cool royal element into the fold.

Laz E Hill Kaydence

Like her step-sister Kierra, Kaydence is also packed with the best genetics in the world.  Also sired by two-time U.S. National champion, ‘Finley Falls Duncan’, Kaydence comes from a long line of impact dams and sires.  Aside from awesome genetics, Kaydence has the most personality in our fold and is a farm favorite.

Kaydence is also being artificially inseminated with semen from ‘STR Armageddon’.  We’re hoping to have her calf on the ground this Fall.

Red Stone Farm’s Remi

Hair!  This girl has the most beautiful thick coat.  She’s a dun (brown) color with a blonde overlay.

She’s our shy girl… while she loves to be brushed, she’s a bit more skittish and hangs back around visitors.

When she’s old enough to be bred, she will also be artificially inseminated with semen from ‘STR Armageddon’ and will have her first calf in 2025.
